I am thrilled and honored to share my inspiring journey with the world on how I was able to transform my challenges into success. With the support of the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) vocational rehabilitation programs, The City of Houston OBO Turn Around Entrepreneur Program, VAST Veterans Advocacy Services and Training, Harris County Criminal Court #3 Judge Baldwin (Misdemeanor) and Fort Bend County Jail VTC Re-Entry. Last but not least Council Member Tarsha Jackson for allowing me to be apart of her BeSuccessful initiative as a credible messenger in the great city of Houston, Texas. As a Marine corps justice involved veteran I was able to establish myself as a thriving minority-owned business, a veteran owned business HUB certified, Hire Houston First participant as well as a Sam.gov active registration vendor. My purpose is to become a beacon of hope and resilience for others to see in our community and that change is possible.

 

In 2023 after receiving essential equipment through the vocational and rehabilitation program, XLR8 Pressure Washing Services, a full service exterior cleaning company quickly gained traction, securing lucrative contracts with prestigious organizations such as the University of Houston, Texas A&M, Costco, and numerous McDonald's franchises and gas stations.

 

As we embracing innovation, XLR8 is set to introduce parking lot striping services by mid-spring, expanding its offerings to meet our current client needs as well as attract newer and bigger clients. Moreover, we are in the negotiating and development phase of creating a product line of surfactant and are looking to distribute sodium hydrochloride and a proprietary degreaser.

 

Beyond business success, I as an  individual is 100% committed to giving back to the community. Aiming to empower second-chance individuals emerging from incarceration into entrepreneur.

 

In this bold to streamline success in others I have authored a book titled "From Pen 2 Pro: From the Shadows of Incarceration to Entrepreneurial Success," now available on Amazon Kindle and in paperback. This book serves as a guide for those seeking to overcome adversity and achieve their dreams.

 

Looking forward, I envision myself traveling across the United States to mentor incarcerated men through a groundbreaking initiative called XLR8 Recovery and Rehabilitation. This initiative aims to equip participants with the product knowledge, chemicals used and the skills needed to become self sufficient entrepreneurs within 180 days of reentry into society.

 

My success story is a testament to the power of resilience, mentorship, and the support provided by TWC, OBO and so many others. It highlights the potential for transformation and the importance of giving back to the community. I  embrace and celebrate this journey and look forward to seeing impact XLR8 Pressure Washing Services has within our communities and in the lives of other.
